About Us

OUR

Mission Statement

MindCare Network is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to breaking the common stigma by promoting a deeper understanding of mental health issues and creating a supportive environment for students to share their experiences through creative expression. As members of MindCare Network, students will have various opportunities to volunteer, connect with professional guest speakers, and expand their knowledge on therapeutic forms of art.

What We Do

We promote mental health, offer training, and provide student opportunities.
We also specialize in art and music therapy.

01.

Promote Mental Health

We will promote the importance of mental health through semi-monthly meetings to reduce surrounding stigma and encourage support-seeking among students.

02.

Training

During meetings, we will have students pair up with other students to role-play scenarios that address common issues. Through this, we hope to train students on how to help others when they are faced with hardships and uncomfortable environments.

03.

Student Opportunities

We will provide various opportunities for students to earn volunteer hours and engage with professional guest speakers from the field of psychology to create a pathway for connection and expansion of knowledge on mental health-concentrated pursuits.

04.

Art Therapy + Music Therapy

We will deepen students’ understanding of the importance and impacts of therapeutic forms of art through visual arts and music performances. Learning will be paired with hands-on opportunities through volunteering and community-building initiatives.
